After years of spending my weekends dedicated to my own children’s activities I decided it was time to do something for myself and while having coffee with a long-time friend she asked me if I would like to join her at a regular Saturday morning outdoor yoga class. This evolved into a twice weekly yoga practice that I thoroughly enjoyed. The more I practiced yoga the more I felt the benefits not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This was where I learnt to be calmer, happier and more relaxed than I ever had before. After about 5 years of personal practice the service that I was working at had a kid’s yoga come in once a week to do classes with the children. I observed the profound effect that yoga had on our very young learners. This led me on the path to train as Children’s Yoga Teacher that I was fortunate enough to study on the gorgeous Sunshine Hinterland.
After receiving my Qualification in Children’s Yoga and seeing the effect that it had on kids I had many family and friends enquiring about adults yoga classes. This led me to studying yoga with a company in America to receive my level 1 Yoga Teachers Qualification. There is still, and always will be a lot for me to learn however I have found that some of my most memorable lessons have come from my own students.
I offer a safe place for everybody to come and join me on this magical ride. This non-competitive practice that is scientifically proven to have so many benefits for everybody from 5 to 95 hence why it has survived for thousands of years.

Hi my name is Kate and I would love to tell you a little bit on how I found my Yoga Temple.
As a small girl growing up in a country town I can remember my mother taking me to visit the local Kinesiologist. From that moment on I have had an insatiable appetite for all things to do with holistic and natural wellbeing and hoped that one day I would be able to follow my dreams. However , as life would have it this didn’t happen straight away and I was in the hospitality industry for the next 25 years. I loved my time there and after having my own children moved on to becoming a chef at a long day care centre here in beautiful Brisbane.
